Licensed Level 2 EV charger installation for homes and businesses across Mississauga and the Greater Toronto Area. ESA permit, inspection, and warranty on every install.
With electric vehicle adoption accelerating across Mississauga and the GTA, Level 2 home charging has become essential. But EV charger installation isn’t a DIY job in Ontario, Level 2 chargers must be installed by a licensed electrician, and an ESA permit is legally required.
At Azan Electric, we’ve installed Level 2 EV chargers in homes, condos, and businesses across Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Etobicoke, and the entire GTA. Every installation includes:
We install Level 2 chargers from all major manufacturers. Our most commonly installed brands include:
Not sure which charger fits your vehicle and home setup? We'll help you select the right model during your free estimate factoring in your vehicle's charging speed, panel capacity, daily driving distance, and budget.
Our licensed electrician visits your home, inspects your electrical panel, calculates the available load, and discusses your charger preferences.
We provide a written quote covering the charger (if you're buying through us), the installation labour, the ESA permit fee, and any additional work needed (such as a panel upgrade if your current panel can't support the added load)
On installation day, we pull the ESA permit, run the dedicated circuit, mount the charger, and commission the system. Most installations take 3-6 hours. You'll be without power in that area of your home briefly during the installation.
We coordinate the ESA inspection (usually within 1-2 weeks of installation) and provide you with your Certificate of Inspection which you should keep on file for your insurance provider and any rebate applications.

Mississauga is in Alectra Utilities’ service territory, which historically has offered some of Ontario’s most generous home EV charger rebates up to $1,000 for eligible Level 2 charger installations.
Combined with the federal Electric Vehicle Affordability Program (EVAP), which provides up to $5,000 on eligible EV vehicle purchases (launched February 2026), the total savings on EV ownership and home charging has never been better.

Not always. Many 100-amp panels can support Level 2 charging with proper load management. However, homes with electric heating, AC, and high demand appliances often need a 200-amp upgrade to safely add an EV charger. We'll do the load calculation during your free estimate.
Most installations take 3-6 hours, plus scheduling time for the ESA inspection (usually 1-2 weeks after installation). If a panel upgrade is also required, add 4-6 hours on the panel upgrade day.
Yes but it requires coordination with your condo corporation. The
Ontario Condominium Act gives condo owners the right to request EV charger installation in their parking stall. We handle the technical installation; you'll need to submit the application to your condo board. We can provide the drawings and specifications required for the application.
The ESA permit for an EV charger installation typically runs $100-$200. This is non-negotiable under Ontario law. We include it in every quote so there are no surprise charges.
Level 1 uses a standard 120V outlet and adds about 5-8 km of range per hour fine for plugin hybrids, but too slow for most electric vehicles. Level 2 uses a 240V dedicated circuit (like your dryer) and adds 30-50 km of range per hour the standard for home EV charging.
Only if it's installed by a licensed electrician with a proper ESA permit. Uncertified installations can void your home insurance and your vehicle warranty. This is why professional installation is essential.
