On installation day, we pull the ESA permit, run the dedicated circuit, mount the charger, and commission the system. Most installations take 3-6 hours. You'll be without power in that area of your home briefly during the installation.
We coordinate the ESA inspection (usually within 1-2 weeks of installation) and provide you with your Certificate of Inspection which you should keep on file for your insurance provider and any rebate applications.

Not always. Many 100-amp panels can support Level 2 charging with proper load management. However, homes with electric heating, AC, and high demand appliances often need a 200-amp upgrade to safely add an EV charger. We'll do the load calculation during your free estimate.
Most installations take 3-6 hours, plus scheduling time for the ESA inspection (usually 1-2 weeks after installation). If a panel upgrade is also required, add 4-6 hours on the panel upgrade day.
Yes but it requires coordination with your condo corporation. The
Ontario Condominium Act gives condo owners the right to request EV charger installation in their parking stall. We handle the technical installation; you'll need to submit the application to your condo board. We can provide the drawings and specifications required for the application.
The ESA permit for an EV charger installation typically runs $100-$200. This is non-negotiable under Ontario law. We include it in every quote so there are no surprise charges.
Level 1 uses a standard 120V outlet and adds about 5-8 km of range per hour fine for plugin hybrids, but too slow for most electric vehicles. Level 2 uses a 240V dedicated circuit (like your dryer) and adds 30-50 km of range per hour the standard for home EV charging.
