A room with 4-6 pot lights typically takes 3-5 hours. A full basement with 12-16 lights takes 1-2 days. Timeline depends on ceiling access and whether new circuits are needed.
For adding lights to an existing circuit, no permit is typically required. For adding new circuits or significant lighting changes (like a whole basement install), an ESA permit may be required. We'll confirm during your estimate.
For finished ceilings, small cut-outs are required for each light. We cut precisely to fixture size. In most cases, no patching is needed. For textured ceilings, touch up may be required.
Yes. we use IC rated (insulation contact) pot lights that are safe to install in insulated ceilings. Air tight rated lights are required for homes with exterior ceilings.
We typically recommend 2700K (warm white) for living rooms and bedrooms, 3000K for kitchens, and 4000K for basements and offices. This can be customized based on your preference.
